Business Analyst | Process Automation Banking

SITUATION – The client was a national banking group under competitive pressure to automate processes handling new commercial account opening requests made from their web-site. They were using an IBM BPM process management application to handle personal account opening requests and needed to stretch its functionality to also meet the commercial banking requirements.

SOLUTION – We began with the BPMN process drafts provided and investigated the existing “IBM BPM” business rules, UI rules, UI specifications and new requirements working with a business representative and SMEs.

OUTCOME – My outputs included specification of the new division’s reference data, functional specifications, new screen mock-ups, definition of new business rules and UI rules for the first new commercial banking functionality drops. I also delivered a “Process Workshop Master Class” attended by 20 staff from the RBS Transformation & Change Team to provide them with a more flexible modelling method than their BPMN based library, which would better suit their dynamic/ changing environment.
